Budgets
Construction budget management that follows approved spend
Set a project budget, then compare it with approved expenses. Payments stay a separate record, so cash paid is not treated as the approved spend total.
Why construction budgets slip
Budgets fail when committed costs live in one place and the original number lives in another. MySiteWorks keeps the project budget next to the expenses and payments recorded on that project so owners can see what is left before the next purchase.
How budget tracking works
Each project has a budget, which is the planned cost. Approved expenses are the spend that counts against it. Submitted and unverified items stay pending. Rejected items do not reduce the remaining balance. Payments are recorded separately, so a paid amount is not treated as if it were the approved expense total.
When approved spend is higher than the budget, the difference stays visible as an overrun rather than being shown as a zero balance.
What you can control
- See planned budget against approved costs
- Review pending items before they become committed spend
- Keep partner and payment activity on the same job
- Share a current view with owners without rebuilding a spreadsheet
